       We have just taken into stock a 2006 56 Vauxhall Astra TDCi SRi 150 estate with only 32,400 miles. We originally bought this from its first owner, a local gentleman who treated himself to it as part of his retirement. The second owner now no longer needs an estate, so this superb vehicle is once more looking for a good home. It is in lovely, clean condition, drives beautifully and offers real value for money at £7,795. Well worth a look.

       We have really struggled to find clean, well looked after estates over the last few weeks. Had a gentleman in yesterday thinking about trading in his '51 reg, Volvo V70 2.4 auto. We supplied this car to him about seven years ago and we are keeping our fingers crossed. If you are interested, please let us know and we'll keep you informed.

       Due in Monday 24th Jan... a 2002 '02 Ford Focus 1.6 estate. Dark blue metallic, in nice order and mileage in the 60 something thousands. Under negotiation... a 2007 '57 reg. Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 "Equippe" estate in black with 53,200 miles. There hasn't been a lot to report on the estate car front in the last few days. The ones we have been offered have either been too high mileage, or mistreated and we won't buy them. We love estates; they are just so useful for so many people.

       Watch this space... we are working hard behind the scenes to bring you a hand picked selection of high quality estates in your budget. On Saturday we handed over a 2006 '56 Peugeot 206 SW diesel to a couple in Stockport, who had tasked us with finding the right car for them. This replaced their 2002 02 similar Peugeot, which they had owned from new and in which they had managed to clock up 220,000 miles in the nine years!!  (We, for our part, made a round trip of 415 miles to collect the replacement vehicle, which is an absolute gem).

       We have bought the Focus Estate. It is a 2005  "55" reg. 1.6 Zetec estate auto in Tonic Blue metallic, which is the light blue. Beautiful condition inside and out, having covered only 14,967 miles. Service stamps in the book, only two owners and now ready fo a caring new home. The car is clean enough to go straight on display and we suggest an early viewing. It drives superbly and will do the next owner proud. A very good way to start the New Year.

       The Passat looks to have serious potential. Needing only a light valet, it should sell on the mileage alone - Passat diesels in the low 20k miles are not an every day occurence. Come and have a look and see if it fits the bill.

       Had a call from a lady who wants to sell a 2005 Ford Focus AUTOMATIC estate. Not too many details yet, but hoping to see this car today. She says it is low mileage and in nice condition, but as it belonged to her late father, we haven't much info until we see the car and the history. Keep you posted as the story unfolds.

       The Passat TDi Sport estate has been left with us for evaluation and on first glance it looks good. Will try and have an in depth look at it on Tuesday - today has been wall to wall customers, resulting in four sales. Not bad for a short (Bank Holiday) ten till four thirty day.
